Teacup's JAGged Lines Fan Fic Challenge

Basic Concept : Teacup picks out several lines (bits of lyrics) from a song. You write a JAG story incorporating ALL of the listed lines for a given challenge (unless there are bonus lines which are optional).

To find stories written for the challenges, click on JLFF Stories, above.

Challenge Rules

1.    These are NOT to be Songfics.  For this challenge, the characters may NOT sing, play, hear, or otherwise reflect upon the

song itself.  Lyrics (except those incorporated in a non-song context) should not be included in the story.

2.    The story does not need to be (and often is probably better not to be) in keeping with the specific sentiment/

messages/ context of the given song.  There is no need to be familiar with the song itself.

3.    The lines may be used as dialogue or thoughts of any character appearing in the story.

4.    The lines may appear throughout the story (spread out or clumped together) in any order.  All of the given lines for the

particular challenge should be incorporated somewhere in the story, unless there are designated 'bonus lines,' which are

       optional.
5.    The story may be any length.  It may be multi-chaptered or a one-shot piece.
6.    The story must
be Harm and Mac shipper-friendly. But, it does not need to be a romance story at all.  Action, drama,

humor, romance, and combinations are all acceptable genres.
7.    The story must revolve around some character(s) that were on the JAG show, but it does not necessarily have to be Harm

       or Mac.
8.    Authors may post/archive their stories on any other site (providing it meets the standards of that site).

Such sites include the Harmy Board Extras Fanfiction (where Harm must be a character), JAGhaven (a single-thread

and moderated, but unrated, board where negative feedback is prohibited), JAGnik Fanfic (which has a rating restriction),

and fanfiction.net (where the author must be a registered user).
9.    For a story to be archived on
this site, the author may e-mail it to Teacup for approval and posting.  Teacup may

request to edit/censor the story, but any modified versions will be sent to the author for consent before posting.  Teacup

retains the right to refuse the archiving of any story that she feels is offensive, inappropriate, or otherwise unsuitable for this

       site.
10.  There is no time limit on when a challenge must be accepted.  Authors are free to choose
any
one of these challenges to

base a story on at any time.

                                                                         Rules are subject to modification.
